Challenging the concept of luxury and utility, this one-of-a-kind sculpture is inspired by a ubiquitous silicon handle used to protect the hand when carrying multiple single use shopping bags. Made from forms wrapped by the artist in leather and corded knot work, each sculpture is then cast in precious metal, transforming fiber arts into three unique objet d'art. Sculpture of Gold is accompanied by a handmade lambskin leather deli bag.
